If you did .. how would you describe how it was to meet the first and far by what i know the only non korean that

The first SC video I watched was a BoxeR vs YellOw.

I became a YellOw fan, but, if YellOw or a KTF player wasn't playing against him, I always supported him.

There is only one him. And he sits upon the throne of Terran. His name is Lim Yo Hwan.

Two and a half years - hey, it'll be around the same time as tenth anniversary of StarCraft release. What auspicious timing.

Your innovative play style made SC what it is today. SC was only a game when it was first created, but you made it popular in Korea. It's not a big stretch to say, you created the BW scene; the gaming scene; the e-sport scene.

Hail to the Emperor!

Unlike many, boxer wasn't the first pro I saw play, and he wasn't the progamer who first inspired me. But as I played more and more, he slowly became the player I was most amazed by, he has something almost no one else has.. Amazing charisma, amazing strategical ability and seemingly no fear.

It feels like he can do anything.

When I heard he was retiring I was feeling kinda misty eyed; I'd always assumed I'd be able to see him play live.

But, he said he'll be back, and I believe that if anyone can do it, it's him.

If I can't see one of his games before he goes to the army, I'll make sure to watch his first come back game.

임요환, 필승!

You have made progaming what it is today. Without your existence, without your exciting play, without your professionalism, without your love for the game, where would StarCraft be? You made an 8-year old game turn into the national sport of Korea.
For the past year I've been dreading the day the Korean Army would call you back. Watching all these videos pop up as a tribute to what you've done. It makes me go ㅠ_ㅠ. The English-speaking SC community at Teamliquid.net shows its support for you in your last starleague.
Instead of being sad about the past, show the fans what you can do now.

임요환선수, 우승하십시오.

To #172: Although his name is pronounced as "Im Yo-Hwan", Lim Yo-Hwan is what his name is in English. You can see this in almost every English source, including World Cyber Games, Wikipedia and many popular sites.

But no matter what it should be, it's got nothing to do with disrespect here as he is respected and admired by we all.

  Lim Yo-Hwan,

On a gaming note, so many people love watching you play because of the spirit you bring to the game place. Whenever there is a heated match that you are involved in, something within everyone just wants to see you win because of your awesome attitude and enthusiasm for both the game and the fans.

I think a lot of people would say "BoxeR had such good micro" and that's it. They said "He doesn't play like he did a few years ago." But one thing they are forgetting is it's not really all about the micro, it's about the spirit and the attitude, something that you have never lost. Something that you have made stronger and stronger.

Now go kick some Silver butt!

  Lim Yo-Hwan,

Where to start...

A few years ago, I was playing Diablo II and I saw a banner ad at the top of the lobby about WCG - World Cyber Games.. I was wondering "Hmmm, what is this?" and I clicked it. I then ended up navigating to the "Hall of Fame" section of the website and found: YoHwan Lim as Starcraft champion.

At that time, I did not correctly pronounce your name and did not have much knowledge at all. I then watched the VOD of you playing vs. BlackMan.

Later in the year, I found out about many of the sites that ran the English Starcraft community and started to watch some recent VODs of you playing at the time. I became VERY interested and even learned quite a bit of Korean throughout the years. I ended up meeting Reach, NaDa, YellOw, Nal_rA, Legionnaire, Aseem, and the rest of the gamers at BlizzCon. I never met you though. Just wanted to say thank you for everything you've done for everyone - in and out of the Starcraft world. I have no doubt that this will not be your last gaming time, but I also have no doubt that you will be going to the Air Force for a while.

I noticed that you did play PGTour a bit while iloveoov was there as well. You probably heard that PGTour was attacked recently. Well, thanks for your guys' support of the ladder.

If you haven't gotten the chance yet, please see the "Lim Yo-Hwan Godspeed" video.
